Dallas, TX (Jan. 26, 2023) Customer demand for Rhino Shield coating has created a historic increase in the company's performance. AmCoat's dealerships collectively grew their business by 40% in 2022, with most of that driven by customers looking for a more permanent solution to traditional paint.

In Dallas, Texas, Palm Springs Pool Service owner Tom Dittman was looking for a more permanent solution for his 5,000-square-foot building when he learned about Rhino Shield. Because his building was prone to water intrusion through the concrete block, he looked deeper into the elastomeric ceramic coating. His business, in operation since 1969, has been owned by his family since 1977.

"Several things really stood out to me about Rhino Shield," said Dittman. "For example, this is more than your typical paint, it's a thicker coating — and the 25-year warranty. I needed a long-term solution to break out of this every 5 years cycle. Plus, the material has an R-Value equivalent which helps with summertime energy savings."

Dittman had been in his building for many years and had struggled with water seeping through the blocks and a paint that would last.

"My last attempt at sealing the building with traditional paint lasted about 5 years," said Dittman. "But we were seeing cracks along the mortar lines and the paint was deteriorating. I knew it wouldn't be long until we had water intrusion again. Rhino Shield's coating moves with expansion and contraction, so there's much less chance of cracking.

"When the Rhino Shield crew was here prepping and pressure washing the building, it confirmed my suspicion that it was time for a more permanent coating," said Dittman. "From prepping to primer to top coat, it took about 3 days of work to complete the job, and I couldn't be more impressed with the crew and the quality of work."

Dittman was so impressed, in fact, he also coated his home with Rhino Shield.

"I knew if Rhino Shield's elastomeric properties helped it expand and contract with block, it could work with wood as well," said Dittman. "On our home there were areas that needed attention — some wood rot and other areas where expansion had led to the paint cracking. Rhino Shield was the perfect solution."

Dittman's 3000-square-foot single story house is brick with a hip roof with wood siding. But this wouldn't be as easy as coating his commercial building — for one reason — his wife Ellen has a very keen eye and is particular about colors.

"When we decided to coat our home with Rhino Shield, when it came to colors, I knew my vote didn't count," said Dittman laughing. "Rhino Shield dealer Gary Zenobi asked me what color I wanted and I told him 'You're asking the wrong person!' My wife Ellen has a great eye and knows what she wants. I was impressed that the Rhino Shield team was able to reproduce her exact color choice. She was very happy with the result, and I know we've got something that will last and it's backed by the same great warranty."

Zenobi said customer demand has helped him reach gross revenues in excess of $1.1 million since opening his Rhino Shield Dealership in March 2022.

"Because it's an elastomeric ceramic coating, Rhino Shield is stand outs as a long-lasting alternative to paint for your home or business," said Zenobi. "A few things that stand out to our customers are the insulating quality that helps save on energy bills, a formula that helps prevent moisture intrusion — it's bio-resistant, UV-ray resistant, and has a long-term transferrable warranty."

Veteran-Owned and made in the U.S.A., Rhino Shield's elastomeric-ceramic coating goes on 8-10 times thicker than conventional paint and is warrantied for 25 years. The newly updated formula takes their nano-technology to the next level.
